We have created a powerful new tasting experience and invite you to book your visit now. Venture outdoors and into a core element of Cardinale with a tour of our organically farmed Mt. Veeder vineyards as well as a private seated tasting experience 2,000 feet above the valley floor. Mt. Veeder is a pillar of the Cardinale composition, and 30 years have passed since we began tending this formidable land in the Mayacamas Mountains. We are ready to welcome guests to one of the defining sites in winemaker Christopher Carpenter’s portfolio. 

Your tour and tasting will be an elegantly relaxed, rustic immersion into the nuances of Mt. Veeder’s coveted terroir. At Napa Valley’s western edge, you will feel the cool mountain air, walk the volcanic soils, and strengthen your understanding of how rugged the farming conditions are—and how rewarding the results can be. This is an experiential tasting, and your host will personalize walking distances to suit your group. 

Mt. Veeder is a place of great natural beauty. Craggy peaks and dense forests of evergreens, oaks, redwoods, madrones, and bay trees loom over the vine rows. Plantable acreage is very limited, and mountain conditions entwine with our organic practices to force low yields of tremendous quality. This appellation is revered for characteristics of blue fruits, violets, minerality, and powerful fine tannins that beget exceptional aging.
